support
one person makes this app and the same person answers the email. write about anything — a fault, a question, or something that ought to work differently.
it helps to say which iphone you have and what you were doing at the time. there is no account to look up, and no log of your use to read — so what you write is all there is to go on.
i lost my phone. can you get my year back?
no, and it is worth being plain about why. every note and photo is written to your device and nowhere else — there is no copy on a server for us to send you.
settings → a copy of the year → save a copy writes everything to a single file you can keep in files, icloud drive, or anywhere else. do it now rather than later.
how do i restore a backup?
settings → restore → from a file, then choose the file. it tells you how many days and photos are inside before it does anything.
restoring replaces what is on the phone rather than merging with it. two versions of the same day would mean choosing which note to keep, and that is not a decision an app should make for you.
the backup is an ordinary zip. open it on any computer and you will find a readable file of your notes and a folder of your photos named by date — nothing about getting your own things out depends on this app still existing.
a photo did not come back after restoring
the day survives without it rather than disappearing with it, and the app says how many were missing. it usually means the backup was made after the photo was deleted from the day. an older backup may still have it.
the reminder never arrives
it is off until you turn it on: settings → daily nudge. if it is on and nothing comes, check that notifications are allowed for first year in iOS settings.
it deliberately skips any day you have already written. being reminded to do something you have just done is not help.
why can i not change the birth date?
every day is stored against a calendar date and read back as "day n" counted from that one. moving it renumbers the whole year at once, and any day falling outside the new window would vanish. starting over is the honest way to change it — save a copy first.
how do i cancel a subscription?
in your Apple account: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. deleting the app does not cancel it.
refunds are handled by Apple under their policy — we have no ability to issue one. reportaproblem.apple.com is where those are requested.
i already paid, and it is asking again
restore on the plans screen. that happens on a new phone, or after a reinstall, and it does not charge anything.
how do i delete everything?
settings → delete all data removes every day, photo and setting from the device, immediately and permanently. deleting the app does the same.
there is nothing to request from us, because we hold nothing. see privacy.
